Kids ministry

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:34-35

Our Mission:

Kenner Kids exists to lead kindergarten through 6th grade children to be able to know Jesus as their Savior and continue to grow in their faith and connect with one another. We strive to do this by showing them who Jesus is and what it means to have a relationship with Him. We continue to teach children all about the Bible and who God is through fun activities throughout the week. These activities allow students to connect with each other and to grow together.

Strive Preteen Ministry

Strive exists to lead and disciple 5th and 6th grade students. We do this by discipling pre-teens in their walk with Christ or helping them start that walk, leading them to develop relationships with one another and build connections, and guiding them to have a servant heart through participating in local mission projects.

Keeping your kids safe

We want to create a safe and secure environment, both to protect your child(ren)’s well-being and to allow you and your family to rest assured. We have a multi-layered approach to safety and security, and we’d love to share a few of the ways we work to protect your children.

Volunteers
Our volunteers have been provided with training, including age-level training, an understanding of our safety/security polices and a background check. This process is to provide your child with the best possible care in a secure child-friendly environment.

Check-In
We use a secure check-in and check-out process. We have two check-in locations, one for preschool and one for K-6th grade children. When you arrive, a loving and trained volunteer leader will greet you. You will be asked to provide some basic information, including a cell phone number you have in your possession. If we need to contact you, we will send you a text message. (Remember to leave your cell phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) If your child has difficulty acclimating or experiences separation anxiety, our caring volunteer leaders will immediately do all they can to soothe your child. If your child is unhappy for an extended period of more than ten minutes, we will text you. You and your child will receive a check-in tag specific to your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding “pickup” security tag.

Well-Child Policy
We take seriously our responsibility to protect well children from exposure to illness. We ask that children be free of symptoms for 24 hours before coming back to church.

What to expect during your first visit

  • One

We'll ask for basic information about your family and any child(ren) that will be in our care, including emergency contact info and allergies.

  • Two

A name tag will be printed for your child(ren) which includes a unique four-digit security code.

  • Three

You'll receive a printed "pickup" tag with a matching four-digit security code (this printed tag will be needed during pickup)
